Election results

Unofficial election results — which include Election Day precinct votes, all Early Voting votes and absentee ballots received through today — will be available online at cookcountyclerk.com beginning about an hour after polls close.

Precinct-level results will likely be available online on Wednesday. Later this week, late-arriving absentee ballots and verified provisional ballots will be added to the election results periodically. Write-in votes will be tallied during the canvass and released approximately two weeks after the election.

 

On election night, a temporary homepage will direct users directly to election results or the regular website. Currently, you can view how the results will display at http://www.cookcountyclerk.com/ELECTIONS/RESULTS.

 

Media credentials

Members of the media will not need a paper credential provided by the Clerk’s office. However, election judges will require news reporters, photographers and TV crews to show a government-issued or company identification card. Please see “Media Guidelines.”

At cookcountyclerk.com, voters can check their registration and find their polling place. The lists of polling locations by township and township maps of precincts may also be useful on Election Day.
