Recycle your old electronics April 9th at the Cook County Electronics Recycling event in Blue Island

Free electronics recycling in Blue Island on April 9thDo you have old electronics cluttering up your place?  Old TV’s, microwave ovens, laptops, and the like?  Bring them to the Blue Island Public Works Yard on April 9th and you can recycle them at no cost.  The Cook County Department of Environmental Control is sponsoring a Free Electronics Recycling event from 8 am to 1 pm.  The event will be held at the Blue Island Public Works Yard, 3153 Wireton Road in Blue Island.

Acceptable items are:

  • Televisions
  • CRT monitors
  • LCD monitors
  • Computers
  • Laptops
  • Printers
  • Fax Machines
  • Copiers
  • VCRs
  • Keyboards and peripherals
  • DVD players
  • Speakers
  • Misc. cables
  • Telephones
  • Cellphones
  • Game consoles
  • Handheld electronic devices (Gameboy’s, iPods, etc)
  • Microwave ovens
