Recycle your old electronics this Saturday at the Cook County Electronics Recycling event in Hometown

Do you have old electronics cluttering up your place? Old TV’s, microwave ovens, laptops and the like? Bring them to the Hometown City Hall building this Saturday, May 14th and you can recycle them at no cost. The Cook County Department of Environmental Control is sponsoring a Free Electronics Recycling event from 7 am to 2 pm. The event will be held in the parking lot of the Hometown City Hall, 4331 Southwest Highway in Hometown, IL.
Acceptable items are:
- Televisions
- CRT monitors
- LCD monitors
- Computers
- Laptops
- Printers
- Fax Machines
- Copiers
- VCRs
- Keyboards and peripherals
- DVD players
- Speakers
- Misc. cables
- Telephones
- Cellphones
- Game consoles
- Handheld electronic devices (Gameboy’s, iPods, etc)
- Microwave ovens
