THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A POLITICAL ATTEMPT TO FIND AN AREA WHERE MORE REVENUE CAN BE OBTAINED. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SAFETY AND CRIME. THE BOARD IS JUST TARGETING AN AREA THAT WILL HAVE SOCIAL SUPPORT USING A DECEASE IN CRIME AS A JUSTIFICATION.
THIS WILL ONLY EFFECT RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS (LIKE POLICE OR ANY ONE WHO GOES TO A TARGET RANGE TO LEARN HOW TO SAFELY USE A FIRE ARM) IN ORDER TO CREATE MORE TAX DOLLARS. AND IT WILL HAVE LIMITED EFFECT BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL JUST GO OUT OF COOK COUNTY CAUSING A DECREASE IN BUSINESS FOR LOCAL GUN SHOP OWNERS “HURTING SMALL BUSINESS”
IF PRESIDENT PERIWINKLE ACTUALLY BELIEVES THIS WILL DECREES CRIME SHE SHOULD HIRE NEW ADVISERS OR LEARN HOW TO READ SOCIAL RESEARCH TO MAKE ACCURATE POLITICAL DECISIONS. PERSONALLY I THINK SHE IS PROBABLY QUITE INTELLIGENT AND KNOWS THIS IS JUST A POLITICAL EXCUSE THAT SHE CAN USE TO PASS WHAT IS AN UNJUST TAX

How idiotic. A tax on bullets and guns will make Chicago’s crime problem better? According to her, 29% of guns are bought legally. Than means 71% are obtained by other means. 71%! That’s 71% that is not going to be taxed by her plan, only the legal guns purchased will be taxed.
The liberals doing all they can to take away a legal citizens right to defend themselves.
I believe no one will be left in Chicago except liberals and criminals, and it’ll be damn hard to tell the difference.

I do ALL of my shopping fort EVERYTHING outside of Cook County. This is the biggest joke. I feel bad for any small business in Cook County. If they were smart they will move their business to a County with less of this.
I wonder if this new budget will buy enough bubble wrap to cushion all of Cook County.

To think I supported Tony, and now she’s the one behind taxing guns &
It must be obvious that this isn’t going to affect ILLEGAL guns in Cook
County, so I can only assume this is to raise revenue.
I thought she was AGAINST corruption in Government, now it looks as
though she’s part of it. I am sorely disappointed.
