By Sebastian James at February 28, 2013 | 5:49 am | Print
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of Chief Justice Mary Ann McMorrow. She was an extraordinary person of great strength, courage and a friend to us all in the legal profession.
Her courage allowed her to pave the way for all women in the legal profession, by becoming the first female Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court. We thank her for her wisdom and for being a pioneer, and for a legacy of good governance which lives on. I will always remember her as our teacher of grace, humility and integrity.”
